I MADE IT
Greetings from Indianapolis -- my new home. The move went pretty well, except I had to leave behind a chair/futon that would have come in pretty handy here. My loaded down car made the 560 mile drive without trouble. The movers even got my stuff to me on Saturday night, which was much earlier than I expected.
Now some of you may be wondering why I haven't posted about making it safely when I left Anderson five days ago. The answer is simple. My phone line, which was supposed to be connected on Friday, didn't get turned on until Tuesday. What about work? Don't you have a computer there? Not yet. But that's another story for another time.
I like my job. It's about what I expected. It's just a matter of getting a feel for the place and my new co-workers.
I haven't explored much of my new city, though there's plenty to do here. I basically come home from work every night and try to get my boxes unpacked. And try to stay warm, since it's really cold here.
