The Calm Before The Storm

The daily afternoon thunderstorm is about to roll in from the West. One thing about weather in Indianapolis is that it's never easy to predict.

This week is relatively quiet in my world. The hectic pace of the Indianapolis 500 is behind me, but next week, the one-race-a-month pace picks up steam and we're on the road for most of the summer.

This time next week, I'll be back in Dallas. Two weeks from today, I'll be in Milwaukee and spending that weekend chasing the British American Racing Formula One team, and three weeks from today, I'll be getting ready to head to Richmond, Va.

So for now, I can try to run all the errands I avoided for the last two months. An eye doctor appointment, a visit to the driver's license branch, and relaxing for a while too.

But I know that just like the storm that just blew over in the time it took to write this post, this week will go quite quickly.
