I live in a state of idiots...

Indiana is one of the few states that does not currently observe Daylight Savings Time. But next year, Indiana will. A point that will confuse people to no end.

Now, it seems that some people are not happy with a bill that would extend Daylight Saving Time three weeks in each direction.

My favorite line is "farmers complained that a two-month extension could adversely affect livestock, and airline officials said it would have complicated scheduling of international flights."

It's a frickin' clock, you morons! Add or subtract a one when needed. It's not that difficult.

I'm on a blog roll...(not to be confused with blogrolling)

Note: I forgot to publish this one...

Wow, four days in a row for a blog entry. I must be really bored right now.

Maybe it's been because it feels like Sunday after the short work week and yesterday's day off. Today, I'm going to the wedding of my friend Dave. He's on TV here in the Circle City, so it should be a good time mingling with a bunch of people I don't know. I'm breaking with tradition and going to my first non-family wedding as a solo artist. Wish me luck that I don't fall on my face in sheer terror of meeting a ton of new people. Who knows? I may make some friends out of this yet.

Other than that, things remain the same, really. No house, yet. Travel starts up again on Thursday. It will be the first of three straight weekends on the road for me, so I better enjoy the weekend.

Also I've added a new blog to the links on the right ------> This one is for Bruce, who is one of the few people I still know at the Anderson paper (use bugmenot.com to find a password if you really want to read it.)

A Day Off...

I got a rare day off during the summer, and it was a good day until about an hour ago. I went for my first real good bike ride this afternoon and all was going well until I noticed I had a soft tire. I went to pump up the tire and I realized why the tire was soft.

The rear valve stem was torn. Nothing like carrying a bike home.

Luckily, I wasn't that far away from home.

This hurts...

I am sitting here with my tail between my legs, nursing my wounded pride right now.

You see, I got invited to a wedding this weekend. I hate going to weddings by myself because despite the number of people I know at these things, my friends and acquaintances are always coupled off, and I end up by myself.

So I had a plan. I asked a friend of mine to go with me. Three weeks ago, she said she would, but today, she told me she had tickets to go see Journey.

Yes, it's true. I got dissed for Steve Perry. What is this? 1983?

Remember when I blogged?

Yeah I do too. Maybe again one day when it's less busy around here.
