LIFE IN THE FAST LANE
Wow, two weeks in Indiana and time has really flown by. I know I've been really bad about updating the old blog, but I was a crappy blogger to begin with.
But now, the DSL is hooked up, so I don't have to dial in to update anymore and my life is almost as it was when I lived in South Carolina. I really like my place. I have more space (and room for anyone who wants to come visit). I may take some photos and throw them online just for the virtual tour.
OK, here's the quick update. I like my job -- even though I left my first paycheck in my desk today. I'm all moved in, and it was pretty painless -- except for my fish dying.
I actually just spent four days in Arizona where the IRL conducted an Open Test for the teams. The IRL has its own jet, so no airport security, and we got to leave right after we were done at the track. Arizona was kind of boring through. I didn't have a car, so once I was back at the hotel I was basically trapped in the area where our hotel was. I ended up walking to eat dinner at a couple places. I was ready to come home.
The first race of the year is two weeks from Sunday, so I'll start preparing my work hyping up that race next week, then we'll be off to Miami.
Other than that, not a lot going on. Most of the people from work are older than me and have families, so there's not the cool work vibe that the old Independent-Mail had. I'm trying to make new friends, but it's hard when you don't know the town.
Maybe in a few more weeks, the social life will be normal too. Til next time.
