This Is Why You Have To Read The Blog Every Day....

Back from Richmond. And yes, I was a bad friend who didn't call or e-mail that I was going to be within a hour and a half of my good friends Geoffrey and Stacy. But that my friends is why you have to check this old blog more than once a week.

Lesson for the day: You never know when I'm going to post. So you must check this thing often.

Plus think of the self-asteem you will give me by reading. It will make me feel better than my friends and family actually care that I still have this little project. I even learned today that some people from around the league are clicking on the blog, and have gotten a glimpse at my simple lifestyle. So welcome new readers. Don't be scared. I'm not really this boring.

We'll leave you today with something funny, something scary and something educational.

I've Been Everywhere, Man. I've Been Everywhere...

What a busy and tiring week it's been. I've been to Milwaukee for IRL testing. Caught a couple of ballgames at Miller Park. Worked the USGP at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and spent the last three days at home. Really it's been such a busy time, I haven't had time to thing about anything besides what the inside of my bed feels like.

I would be remiss, if I didn't write about the future growth of the clan. For the longest time, it's been my parents and the five kids. Soon there will be a new generation. My cousin Taft (as close to being my big brother as I'll ever have) and his wife Indhu are expecting a baby. I get to be favortie uncle, who will spoil the kid rotten. I'm already plotting the ways to do it.

The next stop on the World Tour: Richmond, Va. (Thursday - Sunday)
Recently added Tour dates: Cruise to Bahamas for IRL Banquet (End of October), San Francisco (Thanksgiving), Thailand (Christmas).

26 Hours In Indianapolis

I'm back in Indiana after spending the last five days in Texas. It's good to start this long stretch of season in Texas, because the trip back home in October will be a good carrot to chase after for the rest of the year.

Not a long stay here at the apartment. Just long enough to do laundry, catch a nap and clear off some of the backlog of shows on the TiVo. Tomorrow we're off to Milwaukee for an Open Test at the Milwaukee Mile. Hopefully, we'll be able to take in some interleague baseball courtesy the Milwaukee Brewers.

Anyways, the trip home, though short, was very good. My dad went to the his first race at Texas Motor Speedway and seemed to enjoy it a lot. I got to spend some time with my parents, and though I didn't see many of my friends from back home, I did get to see many of the people I know from TMS.

But it's only the start of the hectic time of year.

The Calm Before The Storm

The daily afternoon thunderstorm is about to roll in from the West. One thing about weather in Indianapolis is that it's never easy to predict.

This week is relatively quiet in my world. The hectic pace of the Indianapolis 500 is behind me, but next week, the one-race-a-month pace picks up steam and we're on the road for most of the summer.

This time next week, I'll be back in Dallas. Two weeks from today, I'll be in Milwaukee and spending that weekend chasing the British American Racing Formula One team, and three weeks from today, I'll be getting ready to head to Richmond, Va.

So for now, I can try to run all the errands I avoided for the last two months. An eye doctor appointment, a visit to the driver's license branch, and relaxing for a while too.

But I know that just like the storm that just blew over in the time it took to write this post, this week will go quite quickly.
