Alas... an update

I owe the seven people who regularly read my blog an apology. I seem to have fallen off the face of the earth and I haven't updated in a while.

Personally, things have not been good for me.

Last week, I got a call that my mom had a stroke. I rushed home to Texas to be with my family fearing the worst. I was releived to see and hear that it wasn't a major stroke, but a family crisis leads to much stress and a lot of hurt feelings. My mom was moved to a rehab hospital today, so hopefully, things are headed in the right direction and she can recover.

Here's an update on other things:

* We're three races into the new IndyCar Series season. I've been to Miami, Phoenix and St. Petersburg, Fla. Last week, I was in the Bay Area for the first test at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma. Next stop is Motegi, Japan which I leave for on Monday.
* While in Sonoma, I got to visit my sister and cousin. It was a good time out, and we left saying we should do it again soon. Unfortunately, we had an unexpected reunion.
* I have a new car, a Lexus RX 300 that I bought from my father. I like my new car a lot. Now, I have to get my plate changed over from Texas to Indiana.
* I'm still not a home owner. I think I have a lead on another townhome. Time will tell.

I'll try to be better about updating. But then again, I've made that promise before.
